Is she ready?

Alas, Nora said "goodbye" to her beloved preschool teachers today. She has spent two years with this wonderful group of women and has created some special ties and learned some special lessons. I ask myself, “Is she indeed cultured enough to head to kindergarten in the fall?” "Is she ready to hit the real world head on?" Friday is, in reality, her last day of preschool, but tomorrow my baby girl will board a plane with daddy and grandma to head to Texas to participate in my younger brother’s wedding as flower girl. She’ll share this honor with her cousin. Sadly, I cannot attend, as per my OB’s orders not to fly in my high risk pregnant state. Additionally, I am in no mood to cart Elliot’s oxygen tank on a plane, or Wee E for that matter.

So, off they go tomorrow for Nora’s first ride on the almighty bird. I do hope she enjoys the trip and think that, truthfully, this is one of her first steps in becoming a young lady. My how she has grown and my how the age-old phrase is true. “They grow up too fast!” Mommy loves you baby girl!

That's an adorable photo! Hey, thanks for stopping by my blog. Congratulations on your pregnancy! (I gathered from your post that you are pregnant!) I like the name Nora. A friend of mine (who is pregnant with her second, a girl, due in early September) is thinking about naming her daughter Elinor and then calling her "Nora" for short. :) But she's not sure yet.

That last day of preschool is hard - I remember that with D. Kindergarten seems so big! I'm sure she'll do wonderfully!

I hope the first plane rid is fun for her! Mine wasn't until I was 17 years old!
